Heritage & Modern Renovations

Transforming existing structures with cutting-edge building science — without sacrificing their soul.

    Starlit Homes

    Old Bones. New Performance.

Starlit Homes renovates and retrofits existing homes across London, Ontario and the surrounding towns — from heritage properties in Old North to farmhouses near St. Marys. We measure before and after: every retrofit starts with a blower door test and thermal imaging, and ends with verified numbers that prove the improvement. The result is a home that keeps its stories and sheds its drafts.

    Heritage Preservation

We honour the original character and craftsmanship of heritage structures while discreetly integrating modern performance into every wall, roof, and foundation.

    Modern Performance Upgrades

Continuous insulation retrofits, triple-glazed window replacements, hybrid HVAC installations, and full air-sealing to bring vintage structures into the Net Zero era.

    Structural Reinforcement

From foundation underpinning to load-bearing wall modifications, we ensure your renovated home meets or exceeds current structural codes.

    A Typical Deep-Energy Retrofit Profile

An illustrative before-and-after for an older Ontario home — not a specific project. Your real starting numbers come from the blower door test and thermal imaging in step one.

Home Energy Retrofit Incentives in Ontario

A home energy retrofit in Ontario rarely has to be paid for entirely out of pocket. Federal, provincial, and utility-run programs regularly offer rebates and low-interest financing for the exact work a deep-energy retrofit involves: insulation, air-sealing, window replacement, and heat pump installation.

Most programs share a common structure — an EnerGuide home evaluation before the work, the upgrades themselves, then a follow-up evaluation that documents the improvement and unlocks the rebate. That before-and-after testing is something we do on every project anyway, so qualifying rarely adds steps for our clients.

The honest caveat: programs change. Eligibility rules, funding windows, and rebate amounts shift year to year, and a figure quoted online today can be stale by the time your project starts. We track what's currently open and walk you through the rebates that apply to your home as part of the assessment phase — before you commit to a scope.
